Chris graduated from Michigan State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture.

Chris was a partner and design associate with Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates for nearly 20 years. He worked with Arthur Hills on approximately 20 golf course design projects ranging from upscale public, private and resort courses to residential golf communities and golf renovation projects. With the cutbacks that came in 2010 after the economy soured and golf course construction across the country came to a halt, the Hills firm was forced into cutbacks including Chris.

That prompted Wilczynski to form his own company %u2013 C.W. Golf Architecture %u2013

Wilczynski formed his own golf architecture company in 2010 and his first two efforts %u2013 a pair of 18-hole layouts at Esplanade Golf and Country Club opened in 2014.
