Born: September 7, 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma

Gordon received his Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University in 1974.

From 1974 -1975 he apprenticed with golf course architect David Gill, St. Charles, Illinois. He worked with golf course architect Charles M. Graves Organization, Atlanta, Georgia from 1975 to 1978. He started his own design firm (Gordon Lewis Golf Course Design) in 1978 based out of Naples, Florida.
