Died: Alexander, Arkansas, at age 91

Herman Hackbarth was the Golf Pro at the Little Rock Golf Country Club from 1907 to 1956. He designed and renovated a number of golf courses, primarily in Arkansas. Many credit Hackbarth for introducing bentgrass greens to Arkansas courses.
