Died: East Rockaway, New York, at age 88

Jack came from his native St. Andrews to become pro at Butte Country Club, Butte Montana in 1909. Jack left Montana for New York where he became the pro at Richmond Country Club. He designed The Woodmere Country Club Golf Course in Woodmere, new York which opened for play in 1913. This was Jack's only course design. Jack stayed on as the head pro until retirement in 1954.
