Roy "Andy" Dye

( 1929 - 1994)

Born: February 28, 1929, Urbana, Ohio

Dye graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Yale University. For 20 years he worked as a chemical engineer after which he began to work with his brother, golf architect, Pete Dye. Over time, Roy began to take on several of his own projects.

In 1973, Dye was elected an Associate member of the ASGCA and promoted to a Regular member of the organization in 1976. He would remain a member until his death in 1994.
