Detailed description of Valley Landing Golf Course
Valley Landing Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Courtland, Alabama.
This par 72 championship golf course is owned and operated by the Town of Courtland. The course features six lakes strategically located throughut the layout with 419 Bermuda Fairways and Tifdwarf Bermuda greens.
Vally Landing plays to 6,910 yards from the back/Blue tees. The White Tees measure 6,365 yards, The Gold Tees 5,890 yards, and The Reds are set at 5,280 yards.
The course offers a practice green, driving range and a full service clubhouse that inclludes a pro shop, deli, snackbar, showers and meeting room. Golf lessons available.
$21 (cart included), played on Sunday, August 2008 at 2pm
Valley Landing has two nines with entirely different [ersonalities. The front is more of a links course with water and sand and mounds with specfic landing areas. The the back nine is longer and tree lined with ample bunkering.

Very enjoyable. The golf course setting is positioned in a rural setting surrounded by farm land, a few planes perhaps landing or taking off from the nearby runway. The bent grass greens were well manicured, and for a rather hot, dry period of time that we played, were soft. Putting consistency was good. I liked the laid back atmosphere. Overall an excellent local course, with enough challenge and forgiveness to provide satisfaction for a wide range of golf enthusiasts.
