Barrhead Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course located in Barrhead, Alberta, approximately 1 hour northwest of Edmonton
The course, designed by Les Furber, first opened for play in 1991,
The course has two distinct characters. The original nine holes have wide open fairways, with medium-sized greens that are rather flat. The fairways on the newer nine holes are tree lined, well bunkered and quite narrow. The greens are fairly large with some very big breaks.
The signature hole is #15, a 384-yard, par 4, with a dogleg left fairway. The tee shot must carry 160 yards over the Paddle River and uphill to a small green that is surrounded with bunkers and is quite undulating.
