Haunted Lakes Golf Course, previously named Alix Town Country Golf is a 9 hole golf course located in Alix, Alberta, on the shores of Haunted Lakes, just 45 Minutes from Red Deer.

Haunted Lakes Golf Course first opened for play in 1962.

The course has fairways that are tree lined. Some are quite hilly. There are no fairway bunkers. All of the greens are elevated, medium-sized and moderately slow. Two greens are tiered. 

Water is in play on four holes, most importantly on the 3rd, where Haunted Lakes water lies to the front right of the green.  On this 197 yard par 3, club selection is critical and golfers who make the wrong choice frequently find themselves in trouble.

The number one handicap rated hole is the 422-yard par 4 (ladies par 5) 6th.  This demanding hole plays up and over a hill.  If golfers fail to make the hill’s crest with their tee shot, they are left with a very difficult approach to a green tucked tightly into a corner and surrounded by thick trees and brush.  Consider a par here a very good score.
