Golf Club of Estrella, previously named Estrella Mountain Ranch Golf Club, is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Goodyear, Arizona.
Jack Nicklaus Jr. designed the course. The course first opened for play in 1999.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,102 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,124 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 605 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 174 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, a 605-yard par-5 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 3, a 174 yard par-3.
The layout has rolling fairways that follow the land's natural contours, while elevated tees provide unparalleled views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains. Located in the master-planned community of Estrella Mountain Ranch, the club is an upscale, daily-fee operation with a traditional clubhouse.

Like all Troon courses, it is well groomed and the greens are in great shape. Nice desert setting, but it is pricey unless you catch a deal.

PLAY THIS ONE ON SPECIAL RATE ONLY. NOT WORTH THE FULL PRICE. FOR A TROON PROPERTY, THIS ONE WAS IN POOR SHAPE. DON'T CONFUSE THIS ONE WITH THE ESTRELLA RANCH COURSE. IT IS WORSE THAN THIS.

Absolutely brilliant golf course !! Play it off the tips and it is a real challenge.Considering the time of year - overseeding season -- the course was in excellent condition.

I use golfnow.com to book my tee times. The following has happened 3 times in the past 2 years to me and my foursome. I book the early tee time so we are not out in the heat of the day. Just 3 weeks ago with printed out tee time form booking that I did on line. We were told the course had overbooked a shot gun and we could not play that day. This is 30 miles one way plus getting up at 3:30am for nothing does not start off your day too well. We were given a free round for the next time we come out there, we live in the area but what if we were on vacation and were really looking to enjoy AZ golf at one of the better courses and this happened. Keep in mind this is the third time it has happened. Pro Shop needs to get act together.

Course condition and greens were fantastic for this time of year..... except for the sand traps. TERRIBLE. Food is excellent with a variety of drink choices but there is no bar. Outdoor seating overlooking the course is nice. Will definitely be back.
