Viewpoint Golf Resort -Nine Hole Executive is a 9 hole resort / public golf course in Mesa, Arizona. The 9 Hole Executive Course opened in 1986 as a 2,162-yard, par-33 course. The course accomodates and is popular with golfers of all ages and abilities. This is a course that’s perfect for walking and provides a excellent degree of challenge along the way. The Executive Course features many shorter length holes with a variety of challenging sand and grass bunkers and elevated putting surfaces. You will find that the test here is not in it's length but rather in avoiding the trouble that can be found around the greens. This course will require you to sharpen up your short game. It's also great for a quick round when time is limited. Director of Golf, Michael Rus, pinpointed some of the more unique holes. "No. 3 is a short par-4 that is only 292 yards from the back tees and 264 yards from the forward tees. It’s very well guarded with a dry creek and ravine on the right hand side. Your position off the tee is very important. A layup shot is recommended and you'll want to aim down the left side of the fairway being sure to keep clear of the creek. If you’re feeling aggressive go ahead and hit driver, but Out of Bounds and hazard trouble will get you if you miss it left or right. No. 6 is a tricky par-3 that is 149 yards from the back tees and 127 yards from the forward tees. Hitting the green is a premium on this hole. It is severely elevated and anything that misses the putting surface will likely roll 15 to 20 yards away forcing you into a long pitch shot. Once on the green it is two-tiered so avoid being above the hole if possible. The finishing hole is a short par 4 that offers plenty of opportunities to end on a positive note. It's only 226 yards from the back tees and has three large fairway bunkers that guard the landing area in front of the green. The green has 3 tiers and falls away severely to the left, right, and behind. Birdies can be plentiful for those who avoid the trouble."
