Detailed description of Verde River Golf & Social Club | Verde River Golf Course

Verde River Golf & Social Club, previously named Tegavah Golf Club and originally named Vista Verde Golf Course, is an 18-hole semi-private course in Rio Verde, Arizona.

The course originally opened for play in 2006. Kenneth M. Kavanaugh designed the course. The course was redesigned in 2016 by Tom Lehman.

Verde River Golf Course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 7,219 yards. Each of the carefully crafted holes blends seamlessly with the native desert. Landing areas are generous, creating multiple routes from tee to green! Some of the fairways are as wide as a football field.

The course winds through the Verde Valley, with spectacular views of the Superstition Mountains, the Tonto National Forest, Weaver's Needle, and Four Peaks.

Vista Verde sits almost adjacent to the well-established and highly regarded Tonto Verde 36-hole facility (Peaks Course and Ranch Course. Tonto Verde sits adjacent to the private Rio Verde Country Club, another 36 holes of great Scottsdale golf (Quail Run Course and White Wing Course).

The did not overseed this winter, so fairways are brown, hard, fast. Found them more difficult to hit irons from. Greens nice. hard, and fast - many elevated with challenging breaks.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level
