Fallbrook Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Fallbrook, California.
Fallbrook first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by Harry Rainville.
The course is set in the Gird Valley. The course offers an appropriate challenge to golfers of all skill levels. The regulation-length golf course is accented by mature trees, including native Live Oak, Sycamore, and Eucalyptus. Well-manicured, strategically placed greens, sand, and water on many holes add to the enjoyment of your round.
Fallbrook Golf Club is a par-72 layout that plays to a maximum distance of 6,223 yards for a course rating of 69.9 and a slope rating of 119.
The course closed for play on March 14, 2016
The closure comes after months of speculation regarding the course’s future. It has been well known that the course owner, Jack Lamberson has wanted to sell the 116-acre property, which he purchased in a short sale in June of 2012.
Lamberson has called the course a losing proposition saying that early on the course lost $250,000 a year. He said the loss is now down to about $100,000 a year.
Although counterintuitive, Lamberson said that losing the course will make it easier for him to make the property payments.
“What it really boils down to is I can"t make the payments that I owe on the property with the losses I’ve been suffering,” said Lamberson. “I don’t have the losses anymore, so that takes care of the payments.”
Lamberson said the driving range, practice putting course, and AJ’s Taphouse will remain open while he seeks a buyer for the property. While he probably will continue to mow the property, he will no longer water the course. He stated that water was one of the expenses that made the course unprofitable.
November 2016
Jade and Julie Work have purchased the 116-acre property, pledging not to develop it as housing. Though future plans for the site are unclear, it will have a conservation easement placed on it to prevent future residential development, and a vineyard and wine-making operation could be in the cards.

Dormant is the only word I can think of. $20 plus gas was far too much money for this course at this time of year. I was actually afraid I would either hurt my clubs of my back while playing. The tee times were so backed up...4 hours for 13 holes. May try again after the grass is green.

Ihave played this course many times over the past twelve years. The trees and waterways are the challenge. Greens much improved this year. For some strange reason, they place tees and flags in the most difficult positions on Sunday.

Pretty course, really enjoyed it and the club house was great! The fairways were thin but other than that the course was great.

Fairways in need of major help, Greens are very slow but that was to be expected after all the rain we've had. I've played this course for many years and am somewhat dissapointed in the trimming of the trees. The trees were an integral part of the charm of this old course.

I've played Fallbrook many time oer the past 20 years and have always enjoyed the course. The course is challenging enough for most especially with huge trees some dead in the middle of the fairways. As with some of the other comments I would like to see the greens a little faster.

This is a good course. There are currently problems with the greens. They are not in the best of condition. However, the good news, the course maintenance personnel are doing much to fix the problem.

I love the layout and feel of FBGC. I would love to see the greens a little faster, and another set of tees (make it like 6800 yds from the back)Fun coure great course.

Greens and apron were great condition. Cart paths and fairways were very old and not in good condition. Visually the course is pretty with mature trees, a healthy stream, and lakes throughout. Fun for the money.
