Mountain Meadows Golf Course

I had not played Mountain Meadows in at least two years, though I live just 3 miles from the course. I prefer San Dimas Canyon which is also 3 miles from my residence and I'm in a Senior Golf League that plays Marshall Canyon, another course just 3 miles from where I live. I played with a group of colleagues who get together every two months for a round of golf with each other, so since it was the group's choice, not particularly mine, I agreed to play. I liked the course better than I thought I would, although the back nine gave me fits--not the course as much as my bad shots, particularly around the greens. I won't play it as regularly as San Dimas and Marshall, however it will not be a couple of years before I play Mountain Meadows again.

For a course that appears to get played quite a bit, it was in pretty decent shape, especially for a track that's run by American Golf. This isn't an especially long course, but it seemed like I was always coming up a club short on most holes. The course is a bit hilly in places, and does require some thought on club selection and a bit of accuracy on certain holes, but it's definately not the toughest track you'll ever play. Overall, enjoyed the course, as well as the surrounding views. The only knock I would have is the pace of play was somewhat slow, but not horrible. Green fees I think are pretty competitive for a course of this caliber, but not outstanding. The starter told me to check golfzing next time as there might be some cheaper rates available. They're also on golfnow as well.

Has some great holes, maybe I like it because I seem to play well there, walkable albeit hilly, im 48, was tired afterward but didnt kill me. I did tee off at 6.00 am , if its in the 80's I am riding Played Rancho Park the day after, thought both were in similar condition but mountain meadows is a better golf course in my humble opinion

I had not played Mountain Meadows for almost a year. It was in better shape last week when I played it than I recall was the case the prior time I played there. I find it a challenging course for my game, and last Friday was no exception. In spite of the challenge, I thoroughly enjoyed my round. My playing partners who had never played Mountain Meadows really liked it. One of the members of this group of 12 of us who get together for a round of golf about every two months said: "I really liked this course. I think we ought to play here more often in the future." I expect we'll come back to Mountain Meadows before this year is out.

Getting back into playing and this is a good 'bang for the buck' course.

Best of the LA county courses. May not have the views of a Los Verdes but by far a better test of golf. Play it almost every week for the last ten years and you can't find a better bargin. The grunds crew does an outstanding job with the resources they have being a county owned course.

Mountain Meadows is a good value. The course is always ingood condition and the greens are excellent. The course is hilly and challenging if you are used to flat layouts. The back 9 is where the fun begins, a lot of elevation changes with great views. Fairways are generous. Overall it's a good challenge and great value for the money.
