San Ramon Golf Club, previously named San Ramon Royal Vista Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in San Ramon, California.
San Ramon Golf Clube first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Clark Glasson.
San Ramon is a narrow course with many dogleg fairways, typically favoring the left to right player. There are a few lateral water hazards and many sand bunkers incorporated into this course's design. The greens are medium in size and speed.
#1 is the signature hole, a 349-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg right fairway in which you must avoid a creek at the turn, then an approach shot to a flat, well-bunkered green.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,451 yards, course rating 71.6, slope rating 125.
White tees: par-72, 6,103 yards, course rating 70.1, slope rating 120.
White tees(W): par-73, 6,103 yards, course rating 75.0, slope rating 130.
Red tees: par-73, 5,718 yards, course rating 72.7, slope rating 126.

Bunkers could use some work. Tilling the sand seems to really help. They should do it more often.

This course is in better shape then in the past. I find it to be more of a challenge then you'd think. (At least it was for me.) 9th hole is really fun, small island green can be difficult to land and stop the ball on. For the price, it's a bargain.

Are you guys smoking drugs? A good value at 51.00 please. This place is a dog track. Always has been and always will. I can not believe that a place like this charges 51.00 bucks when there is Roddy Ranch for 22.00, Shadow Lakes for 17.50 and Deer Ridge for 25.00. All of those courses are far superior to this dump. Get over yourselves San Ramon and lower your prices to 12.50 because thats what is worth. Nuff said.

Overall a great course. Very flat front 9 and some great small hills on the back 9. #9 island green is a blast to play.

Great bargain. Pace of play was slow, but probably due to frost delay starting things off. Greens were pretty quick.

. overall it is a quality course, fairly priced due to the LoyalTee program. The club house folks are great to work with. The head pro is very helpful I am happy to see you are planning to do work on the sand traps.

Greens were really slow and the pace of play was as well. Overall, the course was in fair shape and it presented an average challenge. The bunkers were hard as concrete and I don't think they had been maintained in a while, which was rather annoying. They do offer good deals which make it a reasonable price for the experience.

COURSE LAYOUT MORE CHALLENGING THAT IT APPEARS, ESPECIALLY THE 1ST, 9TH AND 18TH HOLES. MOST CHALLENGING IS THE 9TH HOLE - GREEN IS AN ISLE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SMALL LAKE.
