I've been a member for years, though I don't play nearly often enough. Every time I play, I remember why I joined! The course is well maintained and the staff makes it a great experience every time I'm there. I'm a high handicapper and my boyfriend has a very low handicap, yet we both have a great time playing this course together. It has a good mix of challenge and fairness in the layout of the holes. It's a winner, oh, but don't tell anyone,I want to keep it a secret!

I had an opportunity to play Cold Springs CC this winter as a guest. I am considering membership at a local golf course and tried Cold Springs because it is close to my home. I was surprised to learn the club and course offer much that I like. Placerville is unique because often the weather is warmer during the winter and cooler in the summer. This was true this winter. Sacramento and valley locations were below freezing; however, placerville was above 40 degrees. The course condition was very good, likely as a result of the weather conditions above. Foothill golf courses are often more difficult and I found Cold Springs CC tuff. The greens were fast and had many breaks. Also, many holes had tuff elevation changes. As for cost. As a private club the cost was very reasonable. Right now it does not cost anything to join and the monthy fees are about $225 (walking) to $275 (with cart) for a family membership. Guests are about $50 (with cart).
