Sunrise Golf Course, previously private, is a public 18 hole golf course located in Citrus Heights, California. The course is situated near the Sunrise Mall, behind the driving range on the corner of Arcadia and Sunrise Avenue.
In 1974, a driving range marked the beginnings of Sunrise Golf Club with its two-story (double deck) driving range. The course was built 10 years later (1984) and was opened as a private club.
The course presents a test for players of all skill levels as they drive their golf balls over rolling hills and try to avoid the creek that intersects the land. The fairways are tree lined and hilly.
Par for the course is 31. From the back tees, the course plays to 2106 yards. The longest hole on the course is #9, a 489 yard par-5. The shortest hole on the course is #6, a 130 yard par-3.

Perhaps the fairly new ownership has plans to improve/upgrade this previously private nine hole course. If not, build homes on it! More dirt than grass on many holes. Greens get water but are spongy. A few holes back up or run along side the short driving range (no drivers allowed), the nets are torn and tattered resulting in practice balls on fairways and on one green one must keep ones head up to duck the occasional well hit practice ball. Not worth the drive or money.
