David L. Baker Memorial golf course first opened for play in 1988. The course was designed by William Bell.
This is a well-maintained executive course. David L.Baker is a par-62, mid-length course with six lakes and bunkers, big undulating greens and a nightlit course. Water hazards come into play. The terrain is fairly flat, so it's easy to walk. The fairways are only lined by a scattering of trees. This course is lit at night until 10 PM. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men. The course is situated within Miles Square Park in Fountain Valley.
David L. Baker Memorial Golf Course plays to a par-62 and a maximum distance of 3,847 yards. The course rating is 57.7 and the slope rating is 91.

Being an executive course, it is a good course to walk rather than ride in a cart. Often times, a single or two-some can get right on without much wait.

Managment lets groups do as they please at times you will have 3+ golf carts out at the start of play and starter will not say any thing to groups. THIS COURSE IS LOOSING MONEY BECAUSE OF ONLY (1) PERSON ON EACH CART if only one person in using then they should pay extra amount

I play this as my home course while Birch Hills is being renovated. It is a good executive course in average condition. the pro shop cashier is a sweetheart! Good practice facility.
