El Camino Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Oceanside, California.
El Camino Country Club first opened for play in 1953.The course was designed by William H. Johnson.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,840 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,778 yards. The longest hole on the course is #8, a par-5 that plays to 557 yards. The shortest hole on the course is #7, a par-3 that plays to 131 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 394-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 166 yard par-3.
The course is an old style design that left the terrain completely natural. Lush stands of towering eucalyptus and Monterey pines frame undulating Bermuda fairways and manicured greens. The course has deep roughs, more than 60 strategically placed bunkers, and water features that create both strategic diversity and a picturesque backdrop for golf.

El Camino is considered a charming, friendly private course with a fantastic grounds crew. The grounds superintendent is excellent at keeping this course in great shape year around! While you can see the greens from the tee boxes and there really are no layup shots required, the course is challenging enough to make it competitive to play. This course has the friendliest staff that makes everyone feel welcome!

I've played this course hundreds of times and I still can't figure it out. Plenty of birdies and double bogeys to be had. The course is in great condition. Wonderful staff.

One of the most challenging courses in San Diego County. Site of the SD open Monday qualifier, the greens challenge the pros plenty. Wonderful old course that not gets missed as the high profile resorts do their advertising.

Great course with fair layout. Greens in excellent conditions. Fairways are being prepared for an overhaul to kikuya grass in April. One of the better American Golf Properties.
