The course, designed by William F. Bell, opened for play in 1985, shortly after his death.

The course is located at the foot of mountains, which are 1,100 feet high.

Par for the course is 35. From the back tees, the course plays to 2,656 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,336 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 498 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 147 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 498 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 6, a 156 yard par-3.
