Detailed description of Jurupa Hills Country Club
Jurupa Hills Country Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Riverside, California.
Jurupa Hills Country Club first opened for play in 1960. This par-70 corse was designed by William F. Bell.
Jurupa Hills plays to 6,002 yards from the back tees for a course rating of69.5 and a slope rating of 122.
As it's name implies, Jurupa Hills has hilly fairways. They are undulating, somewhat wide open, tree lined and have many elevation changes. The water hazards only come into play on two holes, #10 and #18.
#11, a 441-yard, par 4, is the hardes hole on the course, requiring a long tee shot up a sharp-breaking dogleg left fairway, then a long approach shot to an elevated green, if you come up short you'll find your ball sliding down a steep embankment to the right, leaving you with a blind third shot.
In the late afternoons, the wind becomes a factor, making this already difficult course a little more strenuous.

Years since I playedbther. Overall in fair condition. Challenging but could you better mapping for players not familiar with the course. Need better management of start time/ pairings

3 Oct 11 - Be prepared for more than challenging at first look. Most of the greens are impeccable. Better look from both ends before you putt - deceiving breaks. The rough, not long, will convince you to get to the fairway as quickly as possible, otherwise, you're eligible to "chunk" your way to a spot near the green. The bunkers' sand is different that any I've seen in a while - coarse, granular - so it takes a shot from one to let you know what to expect in the next. Overall, this course is very worthy of the greens fee, the staff is courteous and helpful, the snack bar has a wide variety of foods, and the views are magnificent. Give it a try. An oldie, but a definite goodie.
