Los Altos Golf & Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Los Altos, California.
The golf course at LAGCC is known as one of the most beautiful, challenging and well maintained golf courses in the Bay Area. The serene, picturesque setting with the Santa Cruz Mountain Coastal Range as a backdrop is an ideal setting for a golf course.
The golf course at Los Altos Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1923. The course was designed by Tom Nicoll. The course was rennovated in 2004.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6505 yards. The course rating from the tips is 72.2 and it has a slope rating of 133.
From the forward tees the course measures 5372 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 139 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 418 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Los Altos Golf & Country Club is # 15, a 151 yard par-3.

This is a difficult course for the older golfer to score well. It is in beautiful condition with velvet greens. The ambiance is outstanding as it winds through a residential area with beautiful homes, and the course itself has lovely trees and water hazards, with a backdrop of mountains to the southwest. Some of the holes are in close juxtaposition, but it is a pretty layout.
