A buddy got discount tickets at Costco. For 35$ it was a steal. Fairway and bunker maintenance is lacking but for the price we payed it was worth it. Bring plenty of golf balls because trouble is all around. Some of the best scenic views in all of Bay Area. Sit a high score( lost 4 balls on one hole) but had a blast

1) No one should construct a new course without a driving range. 2) Once you leave the 1st tee, you never see the clubhouse again and food and drink carts are too sporadic if there at all. 3) Water jugs were there on some tees but there were no drinking cups. 4) On the front side there's a hole the pros would have difficulty parring in 4: 470-some yards over a cavern and then steeply uphill and generally into a high wind, and your approach shot is often a blind one, with nothing but trouble if you miss. 5) Because of its difficulty, it's not a widely popular course, so it can have a ghost-town feel.

Where do I begin? We arrived at the course only to discover there is no driving range. They have TWO nets you can hit into and about 2 dozen balls, in total, for them. Many forced carries, both tee shots and second shots, extremely tight fairways; miss a fairway by five yards and your ball is down a canyon. The hillsides are covered with brush so if you hit a ball onto one the chances are it won't roll down. Extreme elevation changes on many of the greens. Because it's a hilly course there are a lot of blind shots into the greens. All in all, a very unsatisfactory outing and lest you think I'm a hacker, my index is single digit.

Bring your straight game. Target golf with long carries and steep hills. A lot of golfers will never play the course a second time; those liking a challenge will be back.

Great course, with tons of challenges.. Greens are very tough, lots of changes in elevation. It is a target golf course, better be accurate, miss the fairway kiss your ball good bye. Short course, with lots of risk reward shots. They temp you with short holes, then neck down the fairway. Play back on hit to 120 yard approach shot. Take you par and move on.

Challenging course to play with quick multi-level greens and lot's of blind shots. Would like to play again now that I know my way around the track.

Country Club atmosphere. Beautiful course. Prior course knowledge helpful on many of the holes.

My main comment was that I was playing pretty well for me that day, but on an average day, the course is so "funky" in elevation change, areas where balls go to die, and torturous layout that I would be lucky to lose fewer than 10 balls in a round. It is built on the side of steep hills so it is ABSOLUTELY not walkable, and even the carts have trouble ascending some of the heights. That's why difficulty is both a pro and a con for this course. Great views, but I prefer more standard layouts and walkable courses. So while I might play it again, it would probably not be often.

A very pretty course in very good shape. Beware, very difficult openning holes. After the first six holes it get's easier.

I play golf about 190 times each year and play this course almost every Tuesday. It is extremely challenging, very difficult, is always in great shape and most of my golf buds will not play as it is so difficult and they do not like to loose balls. I like to have a Real handicap and this course will do that for you. If you keep the ball in play you can score on this golf course.

Loved the course, played whites and hit more 3 woods than normal. Must play a second time to know the layout. Really a target golf course with many elevation changes. Been touting the course since I played it Returning in mid July and drive is 100 miles one way.

the more i play this course, the more i enjoy it. it has become my favorite course in ther area. if you think your way through the course instead of trying to bomb your tee shots with a driver, the course is a lot of fun. if you go for the difficult shots, you will probably have a rough day. bring extra golf balls! The restaurant is usually very quiet and the views are spectacular.

$38 special during May (Mon-Tues) makes this course a great value -- greens were in excellent shape. Front nine is very challenging and many holes are memorable.

Undoubtedly challenging, but the course conditions, tranqulity of its location, gorgeous valley and city (San Jose, with San Francisco in the far distance)views, plus value for money, make this one of the great courses around.

This course is generally not crowded due to the degree of difficulty. This said, it is in great condition, fast pace of play and a terrific, challenging layout. The design emphasizes strategy over bombing the ball off the tee. Bring a few extra golf balls and pick the appropriate set of tees (4 to choose from).

The front nine on this course are the most difficult nine holes I've ever played, to the point of being unfair. The back is difficult, but fair, and a great test of golf. Half of the people we play with love it (the masochists) and the others swear they will never play here again. Lack of a driving range makes it all the more difficult. If playing here, warm up at Los Lagos across the freeway beforehand.

What a fun challenging course. To give you an idea of how extreme this is. They won't let you walk, because it is a 13 mile hike!!!!

Great test of you entire golf bag.You are forced to pick the right club on the tee, not always a driver on the tee, some difficult shots over barankas to many geens. A couple of very short not so interesting par 3s, other than that a very tough layout!

Every hole was unique and tough. Great challenge to play. None like the others. You had to think before you hit the ball. Placement, placement, placement!More fun to play than any course in the area. If you did well on this course you feel great about your game. If not you want to come back to do better.
