Wood Ranch Golf Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Simi Valley, California.
Wood Ranch Golf Club first opened for play in 1985. The course was designed by Ted Robinson
The course features a links-style layout. The fairways at Wood Ranch Golf Club have generous landing areas, but if you land in the rough, be prepared for trouble. The greens are medium to large in size and vary in undulation. Water hazards (lakes, creeks, and streams) come into play on eleven holes. The signature hole is #13, a 196-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green
Measuring 6,972 yards from the back tees, the classic links-style layout features rolling terrain, well-protected greens and breath-taking views of the Conejo Valley. Four sets of tees allow golfers to enjoy a relaxed round or move to the championship tees to experience a stern test of golf.
Gold Tees: par-72, 6,972 yards, 75.2 / 146
Blue Tees: par-72, 6,552 yards, 73.1 / 140
White Tees: par-72, 6,126 yards, 71.5 / 135
Silver Tees: par-72, 5,392 yards, 74.1 / 141

Greens are tricked out, with huge slopes. Coots run rampant all over the course, ripping up greens and leaving their dumps everywhere. Wind can be as much as 40mph.

Former member. Made my golf come alive. Former home course to Steve Pate of PGA tour. Hard course. Need local knowledge. Greens difficult to read and not always well manicured....early AM best time to tee up. Clubhouse is very nice, built in about 1984. Gone through multiple ownerships and American Golf its current owner is not good with management. Joint cheap right now. Great value, good for golfing families...many juniors play there. Tom Lehman used to be head pro and home course in Ca for Charlie Wie of PGA tour. No smog and good weather...cooler in summer than places East. About 25 minutes from Mid San Fernando Valley.

Tough course will many long drive carries required. Big and deep bunkers are very difficult to make an up and down. Difficult to walk. Good course for low handicappers. Greens are fair and a little bumpy. Beautiful place to play. Just tough all around.
