The fairways are brown is most places and you end up hitting off the dirt. The greens are a little slow.

Our foursome likes this course due to price and upkeep. Although somewhat difficult with numerous water hazards, many sand traps and some narrow fairways, the course length (6,000 yards), staff friendliness and overall beauty keeps us coming back. We also like the weekday senior rate of $28.

Everytime I've played this course, the fairways are too wet, and spotty! Don't know if they need to tear up turf and try to use another type of grass, but something should be done after all this time. Speaking of improvements, it's about time to build a real clubhouse/pro shop, instead of the trailer/portable building that's been here for 20+ years.

This is my favorite course. Always a challenge as you must be straight always. Fairways very dry but greens roll true but rather slow.

Played after rain, and on cold (for this area) day. Nearly empty; no one in front or behind. Challenging layout, with nasty results for errant shots. Standing water after rain only minus. Play winter rules and have a good challenge.

Have played this course in the past and have the same complaint again this time. Too many slow players that think they are on TV. No marshall's on the course to keep pace of play moving. Other than that, I love this course layout. You need to hit the ball well and straight. If you want to shape the shot you will need to be precise as the rough is quite penal. If you pull it off you will be left with a great opportunity to score.

sand bunkers need a lot of work. Not properly raked. some without sand in the center, but plenty to plug in the bank. course is not marked well at all. need stakes and paint. placement of pins are not done by anyone who ever played the game. Fairways are rough and should have been punched and sanded everywhere; not just in spots The greens are great. Just a little firm Lots of standing water Great layout and a real challenge. Play winter rules and enjoy your day. Nothing wrong here that money couldn't fix. Course super needs more help.

THE PACE OF PLAY AND THE PRICE MAKE IT A GREAT DEAL, GOOD GREENS AND BUNKERS. FAIRWAYS WERE A BIT SHAGGY IN JANUARY

Challenging course for average golfers. Nice layout although conditions were not ideal when I played (heavy rain the day before flooded a number of holes on the front 9). I would expect the course be a great paly in spring time and well worth the price. Plan to play it again next time I am in the San Diego area.

A tough but fair course that rewards repeated playing.

Good course. Consistent in daily conditions. Best " Bang for your Buck" in the area. Senior rates 32.00!

Tight but fair fairways, with good risk/reward shots to the greens. Greens and fairways are in great shape despite the heat. Staff is friendly and accommodating. To play a better course in the region, I would have to pay more than twice the price.

Beware of the very challenging hazards. Altitude and air quality make distances difficult to "eyeball". Use GPS if you can.

I thought Eagle Crest was a better than average course, in nice condition, and remember thinking the price was good, but do not recall the exact price.

Fairways were a disaster, looks like they quite watering the fairways two months earlier. Tee Boxes were not well kept, greens were average at the most, some brown spots on almost every green. No Marshal that I ever saw to move the "Haverkamps" along in front of my fouursome. Rarely saw a beverage cart as well, very poorly run and conditioned course. Will not play it again since there are much better shaped course all over the area for thwe same amount.

tight course/challenging take plenty of balls gentleman in the pro shop Mike Schroeder-very knowledgable and friendly. Showed genuine concern for our welfare.Insured that we were hydrated in the hot weather. My wife and I were new to the area and Mike was willing to Gps it for us. He was a model of public service and goodwill. Good job Mike!!
