Denver Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Denver, Colorado.

The oldest country club west of the Mississippi is the Denver Country Club. It was formed in 1887 and moved to its present location along Cherry Creek in 1905. The course was designed by James Foulis. The course has been renovated by several designers over the years, including Bill Coore in 1986 and most recently Gil Hanse, 2009 Golf Architect of the Year, who designed and build the 2016 Olympic golf venue in Rio de Janeiro. 

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,782 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,973 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 615 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, the 615 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 194 yard par-3.

The course requires accurate shot placement and good course management. The fairways are typically flat and tree lined, but there are some hills that will cause uneven lies. The signature hole is #12, a 194-yard, par 3.
