One of the truly great public courses in Colorado. Amazing views, great variety of holes, excellent course condition.

It had been awhile since I'd been down to Mariana Butte. The last time was before the floods of several years back and ravaged part of it. I found the overall course to be in terrific shape and fun to play. What was shocking was the amount of construction that had taken place around the course since my last visit and the heavy machinery that was moving dirt to make way for more. This did not take away so much as drone on during the back nine.
The part that upset me was that the greens were recently aerated and had yet to fully settle. It made for a bumpy putt through most of the round. You should be told about such conditions in advance and not have to find out about aeration only when you get to the first green. If the course is in substandard condition, the golfer should be informed and the price discounted for such conditions when you make a tee time. One just hates to think that advantage was taken of them. Kind of makes you think twice before playing the course again, there are other courses.

Pace of play is too slow on weekends. Don't bother eating in restaurant - food is bad, if they aren't "fresh out" of your selection

Course is a nice layout.Once you work your way thru the worst staff in colorado and start playing its a whole differant world on the course.Olde course is in better shape and is at a better price. The green fees are way to high for a PUBLIC layout. And my god is it slow! Over 5hrs to play and never saw a ranger. This place gives loveland a bad rap!

Each February, there's a golf expo in Denver. My friend CJ and I go every year, and every year, we make sure to get a couple rounds at Mariana for $45. We love the course, even though we have to drive for an hour to get there. Everyone in the area knows about the par 3 with the tee box about 5 stories above the green. Very fun.

Where do I start. Great property!! Wish they would have build a golf course on it instead of houses. Could of been a contender. Pro shop staff was extremely lazy and could care less. Sorry did I bother you by paying my green fee. What do you expect from a muni. Very short and it took almost 6 hours to play. Well at least the greens were slow and grainy.

Very fun course. Lots of elevation changes and breaking greens. Plays along the Big Thompson River, with great views. Definitely worth driving to play.

Beautiful setting with great views. Clubhouse sits on highest point of course so a climb is necessary to get back to it. Practice range is close to the club house. Practice green and short short shot area are both downhill. The course is a good test and the new clubhouse is great.

This is a good course, but the greens tend to take a beating, especially on the elevated tee box par 3s. City of Loveland is overly proud of this course, so at $40 I think there is better value close by. This is a beautiful course with some amazingly good holes, but there are some throw away holes as well.

Beautiful course, courteous staff, nice layout. The course features lush fairways and nice greens.
Mariana Buttte GC winds through the Big Thompson river valley and the rock outcroppings of the front range. There are lots of elevation change yet the course is walkable.
There are a few elevated tees including a par 3 where the green is well below the rock cliff tee.
I have to drive 40 miles to play this course and I do so at least once a year. You will not be disappointed with this course.

Course green fees have gotten quite pricy recently. I am 75 and there are no senior rates, only chuckles from the staff when checking in.
