The course first opened for play in 1990. The course was designed by Gordon Lewis. Chip Powell renovated the course in 2010.

The course is relatively flat. Water hazards come into play on at least 9 holes. The greens are larger than usual.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,690 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,600 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 530 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 176 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 10, the 402-yard par-4 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Marsh Golf Course is # 7, the 176 yard par-3.
