River Wilderness Country Club is a semi-private, 18 hole golf course located in Parrish, Florida.
River Wilderness Country Club first opened for play in 1985. The course was designed by Ted McAnlis.
The Club borders the North Shore of the historic Manatee River just off Interstate 75. Although the course is hidden in the wilderness it is still convenient to both Sarasota and Tampa Bay areas. Measuring almost 7,100 yards from the longest, but with seven sets of tee boxes, each player can establish the length of their round. Lakes and wooded areas are combined with a fair but demanding layout.
Gold tees: par-72, 6,934 yards, 73.3 / 133
Blue tees: par-72, 6,505 yards, 71.4 / 129
White tees: par-72, 6,186 yards, 69.9 / 122
Black tees: par-72, 5,863 yards, 68.4 / 118

There are a couple of what I would refer to as 'Mickey Mouse' holes, but overall it is a well maintained course and fairly priced.
