Delray Beach Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Delray Beach, Florida.
The City of Delray Beach had purchased land for the course in 1923 and a nine hole course was officially opened in 1926. The course was designed by Donald Ross. That course continued in operation until forced to close because of World War II. After reopening the course in 1945, the City leaders voted to add a second nine holes which opened in 1950. Red Lawrence and Robert Bruce Harris did course additions and redesigns during the 1960's.
This is an open and well-bunkered course with elevated greens. There are four ponds that come into play on seven holes.
The signature hole is #12, a 561-yard, straightaway par 5, requiring an approach shot to a slightly elevated green.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,907 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,189 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 561 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 12, a 561 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Delray Beach Golf Club is # 3, a 199 yard par-3.

We play this course about 2 or 3 times aweek. And would play it more if we had the time. It's a great course for the price.

Very good Par 72 Course. Most doglegs are to the right and there is some water but not alot. The greens are very fast. Sand traps need sifting for proper sand wedge play.

Lots of crabgrass, greens just got top dressed, fairways just got fertilized. Must have played it at it's worst since it's just now being fertilized. No cold water in the coolers, when there was water in them at all. Usually in much better shape. Run by a management company for the city. Friendly pro shop staff.
