Island Golf Center, is a Public, 18 hole golf facility located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The facility has two very short 9-hole golf courses. They are. The Par 3 Course and The Pitch and Putt Course.
The Par 3 Course at Island Golf Center opened for play in 1985. The course was designed by Bill Amick. The Pitch and Putt Course at Island Golf Center opened for play in 1988.
The Par 3 Course has water hazards coming into play on every hole but two. The average length of the holes is 150 yards, with the longest being 175 yards. The Par 3 Course plays to a 9-hole par-27 and a maximum distance of 1,252 yards.
The Pitch and Putt Course is just as scenic as the Par 3 Course, but much shorter. The Pitch and Putt Course plays to a 9-hole par-27 and a maximum distance of only 464 yards.
Both courses are located next to Choctawhatchee Bay. Both courses are lighted until 10 PM in the summer months. In the winter time, the courses are open from 8 AM to 6 PM. These are great courses to work on your short game.
Island Golf Center closed in 2006.
