Deep Creek Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Deep Creek first opened for play in 1985. The par-70 course was designed by Mark McCumber. Don't let the "par-70" factor fool you. This course is uniquely designed to challenge your skill of course management, lined with endless meandering waterways and plenty of bunkers to test your sand play. Water hazards come into play on sixteen holes.
The toughest hole is #1, a 555-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot that will avoid the water down the entire right side, and then an approach shot to a green that has water on both the left and right sides. If you find yourself in the woods, you may need to make an imaginative shot or two to put yourself back into play.
Blue tees: par-70, 6,045 yards, course rating 68.2, slope rating 126.
White tees: par-70, 5,375 yards, course rating 66.9, slope rating 120.
Red tees: par-70, 4,860 yards, course rating 67.9, slope rating 112.

Have played this course many times.Keeping the ball out of the water is mandatory if you wish to score well. No four hour rounds here in season. It is a straight hitters course. New Clubhouse.
