La Gorce Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located on the Bay Harbor Island in Miami Beach, Florida.
The course first opened for play in 1927. The course architect was Herbert Charles Tippet. The course was redesigned in 1953 by Robert Trent Jones. In 1995 the course was again redesigned, this time by Jack Nicklaus.
Locals consider La Gorce to be of the most exclusive clubs in South Florida, boasting of members who have included the likes of Joe DiMaggio and Sylvester Stallone. The signature hole is #13, a 161-yard, par 3, featuring several trees lining the fairway and bunkers surrounding the entire green.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,005 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,140 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 619 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 545-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at La Gorce Golf Course is # 16, a 180 yard par-3.
