Waterlefe Golf & River Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Bradenton, Florida.
Waterlefe Golf & River Club golf course first opened for play in 2000. The course was designed by Ted McAnlis.
Waterlefe's unrivaled natural setting along the Manatee River is composed of a collection of signature golf holes designed by course architect Ted McAnlis. The competitive layout presents a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. There are five sets of tees ranging in length from 4700 to 6908 yards. Features include five unforgettable holes that touch and border the scenic Manatee River.
The course starts and ends on a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, replete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. A player should not be surprised if, on the 15th tee, he or she spots a family of manatees.
The course will present both challenge and beauty to players of differing abilities. Correct selection of tee boxes will make the day as challenging or as comfortable as you wish.
From the Bobcat tees the course be a monster (try the par 3, 230 yard 9th hole - all marsh from tee to green). Other tees will be more forgiving, although certainly not a push-over. From any of the 5 sets of tees provided, the course will present a memorable golfing experience.
Bobcat tees: 6,908 yards, course ranking 73.8, slope ranking 141.
Eagle tees: 6,427 yards, course ranking 71.4, slope ranking 136.
Tarpon tees: 5,909 yards, course ranking 69.3, slope ranking 122.

My absolute favorite local course. Beautifully laid out into the existing landscape. Waterlefe is always in excellent condition. From tee to green the place is immaculate. Vert difficult course with water in play on nearly evwry hole. Bring 2 dozen balls just in case! Also, bring your camera- gorgeous photo opportunities on nearly every hole. Play the set of tees that best match your handicap, not your ego! No shame in playing the whites at 5700 yards-the course plays a lot longer than the given yardage. This is the best course in the area in my opinion. I have played everywhere that offers "hotdeal" tee times within 20 miles-this is by far the best value with GPS carts for $10-15 in the summer, you cant go wrong!

Played Waterlefe since it opened. Great layout BUT very difficult. Lots of water hence the name. Natural areas add to the ambiance. I've never seen any but hear manatees frequent the tributaries surrounding the course. Different sets of tees make it enjoyable for golfers of all levels. After the round head up to the Club & take a walk on the nature trails behind it to the Tower overlooking the Manatee River.

Choose the proper set of tees here. Don't let your ego write a check your game can't cash, or you'll be paying an extra $30 in lost balls.
