The South Course at Pelican Bay first opened for play in 1985.The course was designed by Lloyd Clifton.

#16, a 386 yard par-4 has water that guards the entire right side of the hole. The same holds true for #17, a 209 yard par-3.

Watch out for # 1, the 501-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Club at Pelican Bay, South Course is # 11, a 212 yard par-3.
