Palm Beach Polo & Country Club is a private 27-hole golf facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The facility has the championship 18-hole Cypress Golf Course and the 9-hole Dunes Course.
The Cypress Course opened in 1989. The course was designed by Pete Dye and his son P.B.
The Cypress Course has a reputation for having four of the most difficult finishing holes in golf because of their yardage and the wind factor. Hole #17, a 641-yard, par 5, features both sand bunkers and a water hazard as part of its design. Hole #16 is a 231-yard, par 3, plays dead into the wind. #16 and #18 are long par 4's, with #16 playing to 442 yards and $18 measuring 450 yards.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,166 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,203 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17 a par-5 that plays to 641 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 17, the 641-yard par-4 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Cypress Golf Course is # 2, a 532 yard par-5.
