Misty Creek Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Sarasota, Florida.
The course first opened for play in 1989. The design was the work of Ted McAnlis.
This wooded course has lakes coming into play on a number holes. The fairways are narrow and well bunkered, and the terrain is quite scenic. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The greens are medium-sized, undulating, and medium to fast in speed, depending on the weather conditions. Wildlife in the area includes deer, bobcats, hawks, and bald eagles.
Set on 350 acres of preserve with lakes and hammock forests, it is a par 72 championship course with five sets of tees measuring 5,208 yards from the forward tees to 6,895 yards from the back tees.
Gold tees: par-72, 6,895 yards, 73.7 / 134
Blue tees: par-72, 6,384 yards, 71.3 / 127
White tees: par-72, 6,007 yards, 69.4 / 123
Green tees: par-72, 5,357 yards, 66.5 / 110
Red tees: par-72, 5,208 yards, 70.8 / 123

This is one of the nicest courses in the area, and at a very fair price. I expect the rates to go up as more and more Snowbirds arrive. Greens are F A S T, and in good shape. All in all a very fun course.

I played after several days of rain. Fairways were very wet. One tee was an island tee, surrounded by water and couldn't get to it. I'd like to play it again when it is dry.

Lots of tree lined fairways. Unique looks on every shot.
