Excellent course and fun to play. Food and Bar facility is nice, however service at said facillity was well below expectations.

Greens had been aireated in last week so not fair to judge them but it appeared they were in decent condition otherwise. Faairways and rought had bate spots and weeds. Great layout but has not been maintained. Signs of the economy.

I play this course several times a year. It's not in as good a shape as it was years ago, but playable. The fairways have a lot of weeds, the bunkers need sand & to be consistent around the course. The greens are in generally in decent shape but had been punched (small) 4 days before & were a little slow but ok because of all the recent rain. The rates were reduced because of it & were a very good value for the $. I would play it again.

SilverThorn is not a bad course at all. While I haven't played it a lot over the years, perhaps 3 or 4 times each year, its never been in poor condition. But it isn't an exciting course, not one that grabs your imagination. Its sort of ordinary as far as golf course goes. Greens are good however. But the price is always right for us. Staff are generally helpful and tee times always available. When you have to get 3 or more tee times this really helps. Wish I could be more positive about this course and I pefer to support golf courses in general, but its just a course I seek to play often. Not sure how else to describe it. Where I play, 11 other guys play, so its important for me to feel good about a course. Otherwise I punish them by taking 11 other guys and playing elsewhere.
