President Golf and Country Club is a semi-private (open to the public) 36 hole golf facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, they are: The Eagle Golf Course (previously named The South Course)and The Patriot Golf Course (previously named The North Course).
Both courses opened for play in 1972 and were designed by William F. Mitchell. The Eagle Course was redesigned in 2011 by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Palm Tree Golf Management, a group led by Hardrives Inc. founder George Elmore, in 2011 paid $11 million for the club and its two golf courses. The club fell into financial trouble after it loaded up on debt to renovate the clubhouse and upgrade the south course, known as the Eagle Course, which was redone by noted designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. The club, once built as an amenity for homeowners, now is open to the public.

I would not call this a vacation destination course but it is a challenging course and for what membership costs it is a real bargain. Staff and management are very nice and accomodationg..

i liked the layout, and found the front nine more challenging than the back. (Maybe I should warm up a bit more...) Pace of play was better than average for a busy West Palm Beach golf club, and the staff was terrific - from the young men cleaning your clubs after the round, to the old guys in the pro shop. Excellent service, top to bottom. They have a great deal in place right now: If you play the less expensive course during the week, you can book a tee time for less than $50.00 on the vastly more expensive second course (Eagle?).
