Detailed description of Atlanta International Golf & Country Club, CLOSED 2005

Atlanta International Golf & Country Club -is a Semi-Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Decatur, Georgia. The facility has three, 9-hole courses. These courses can be combined in pairs to form three different 18 hole course challenges. The nine-hole courses are The Spring Course, The Summer Course, and The Autumn Course.

The golf courses at Atlanta International Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1970. They were designed by Joe Lee.

The Autumn Course is the most hilly of the three courses. The Spring Course offers some variety with its three dogleg fairways. The Summer Course's signature hole is #9, requiring at least a 220-yard tee shot to carry the creek.

Carts are mandatory for non-members. Members may only walk the course during designated times.

Atlanta International Golf & Country Club has hosted the Atlanta Open since 1980.

Atlanta International Golf & Country Club closed in 2005.
