Detailed description of Tally Mountain Golf Course

Tally Mountain Golf Course originally named Tallapoosa Municipal Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Tallapoosa, Georgia.

Tally Mountain first opened for play in 1963. The front nine holes on this course were designed by Joe Lee. The back nine was added in 1998. The back nine was designed by Arthur L. Davis.

The back nine makes this eighteen hole course a stunningly scenic course to play. The fairways are large and rolling, however, plenty of trees are present, necessitating careful shot placement. There are bunkers and water hazards in play on every hole. The course is set at the bottom of a mountain and there is a lake that comes into play.  

The signature hole is #4, a 575-yard, par 5, which plays across the top of a mountain.  With its long dogleg fairway, you will definitely need three shots to reach the green.

The course plays to a par-72 and 6,784 yards from the back tees.
