Carmela Vineyards Golf Course winds its way between 30 acres of vineyards at the Carmela Vineyards. Carmela Vineyards golf course first opened for play in 1993. The course was designed by Lee Beam.
This course plays fairly easy even though it requires many uphill and downhill shots. Many of the fairways are lined with out-of-bounds stakes, so shot accuracy is a premium. Water hazards come into play on a couple holes. Watch out for hole #8, a 481-yard, par 5, which is also guarded by out-of-bounds areas.
Carmela Vineyards Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par of 34 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 2,369 yards. The course rating is 63.1 with a slope rating of 101.
Think about it, this is a vinyard. Make a day of it. Go over for a game of golf, wine tasting and lunch or dinner in their restaurant or lounge. This has to take the 19th hole concept to a higher level.
