Just another forest preserve course? Not so fast, my friend. With the extensive remodeling, redirecting and refurbishing going on at the Maple Meadows complex, one needs to get out there and see some of the new changes that will be apparent in 2013. Besides a new drainage system, the course was rerouted and soon the old 9 holes across the street will become part of the Oak Meadows/Maple Meadows Golf Complex. Basically, it'll be a return to past glory for Oak Meadows, and a cementing of the quality changes at Maple Meadows. Long par 5's, lots of sand, water throughout the course....steep uphill par 4's that play to over 400 yards....Maple Meadows has shots that you want to play and greens that you want to putt. Chris Malek and his staff are endeavoring to bring a quality golf experience to the forest preserve daily fee player....and they have.

Wet, wet , wet. Always soggy fairways and boring. Drainage a problem. Many better options nearby.

The story is incorrect. This is par 70 over 6400 yds. Nice mix of par 4 holes ranging from diabolical 343 to impossible 468. Don't know what the guy who said it was soggy is talking about. It's playable when Oak Meadow across the steet is under water.
