Detailed description of Green Garden Country Club, Blue Course
Green Garden Country Club is a Public, 45 hole golf facility located in Frankfort, Illinois Green Garden Country Club has two 18 hole courses (The Blue Course and The Gold Course) and one 9 hole course (The Emerald Course). Each course offers its own unique style of golf as well as a variety of scenery and challenges that makes the golf experience enjoyable for players of all levels. The facility also has an enclosed golf dome for year round practice.
Blue Course
The Blue Course is the first 18 holes that opened at Green Garden Country Club. The Blue Course opened in 1972. The course was designed by Tom Walsh. It features several holes that cut through dense woods demanding accurate shots off the tee. This course also features several elevated greens which requires accurate club selection upon approach. The back nine on the Blue Course may be the most difficult nine at Green Garden Country Club.
Gold Course
The Gold Course Features wide fairways and several water features making for a scenic golf experience. Hole 7 demands an accurate shot to a narrow fairway and a second shot over water to an elevated green. Hole 10 features the Gold course signature island green.
Emerald Course
The Emerald Course is the newest 9 holes Green Garden has to offer. It features a links style of golf that offers wide fairways banked by rolling mounds, fescue grasses, and sand traps. A great course for beginners and veterans alike.
The Golf Dome The Golf Dome at Green Garden Country Club is one of the most recognizable features of the facility. The Dome is fully heated and offers a two level hitting area with 42 hitting stations. There is also a separate chipping and putting area to keep your short game sharp.
$31 (cart included), played on Saturday, August 2012 at 2pm
Course was in quite poor condition. Tee boxes had not been mowed, pins on greens not moved in a few days - edges of cups worn. Fairways were unmowed. It appears the new management is not maintaining the blue course - a shame since it's a fun course to play, when conditions are maintainaed. Probably will not play there for a while, they also closed down the short game area at the practice facility, which was a draw for my wife. Time to get it together, Green Garden.

My home course away from home. 45 nice holes. Gold is the best, but the emerald (9 holes) is really nice.

The new owner obviously doesn't care about the golfers and has NO people skills. Pace of play is quick because there is hardly any play.
