The person at the counter in charge had a problem with the advertisement that the course had published, as to what it said and how he interpreted it versus what it said in pretty simple terms. I live in the area and until he's gone I will not play the course. I golf for the enjoyment, not to have an altercation on check-in.

I play this course every Saturday, and, don't be fooled by the yardage. I play the Bridges Tees, which are a combination of the Gold and Black tees. What makes this course harder than it may seem on the card is two things, 1) some greens have much more slope than it may appear in the fairway, and, 2) many of the landing areas are tighter than they appear from the tee. This course does get a lot of outings, and, it shows on the greens. I will repair my ball mark and four others from people who don't realize how much damage a ball mark can do to a green if it isn't repaired. It you normal make your mistakes off the tee to the left, you will have some difficulty on this course. With the exception of 2-3 holes, the trouble is on the left.

this was the third time this year only time the pace was bad players in two when it came groups in front of us took so much time putting i though we would call the undertaker

I had successfully bid on a foursome at a fundraiser. Being nearly an hour away and not familiar with the course, the four of us were coming in blind... And what a pleasant surprise. From the pro shop to drinks and nachos, it was a great day. The course is very challenging with water and tight fairways on nearly every hole. It is a thinking course, with club selection coming into play right off the tee. But what a great layout. Everyone had a great time regardless of score. I (we) definitely will come back...

First time I have play this course since the renovation - The change is AMAZING and I would highly recommend playing it.

Fairways and greens were in bad shape. I played the course 2 weeks after a heavy rain and the effects were still evident. It should be noted that I played another course after the rain, but earlier before playing Poplar Creek and it was in better shape, without evidence of the heavy rain.
