Course At Aberdeen, The is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Valparaiso, Indiana.
The Course at Aberdeen officially opened for play on September 2 of 1998. The course was designed by Jack Kidwell and Michael Hurdzan.
Aberdeen consists of over 400 acres and the golf course takes up about 200 of those acres with the other acreage dedicated to housing and The Towne Center, which includes a historic bed and breakfast. Although Aberdeen is a community with a golf course running through it, the homes are set back and do not come into play
The course is very picturesque and full of tall prairie grass, hidden water and tall trees that protect almost every fairway. The course is heavily wooded and there are great distances from green to tee on a number of holes. The stone work is very impressive throughout the course and the entire Aberdeen development.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6917 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4949 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 543 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 174 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 540 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Course At Aberdeen is # 2, a 371 yard par-4.

My friends, seniors travel every single week and play a multitude of courses. This course has been one of the finest closest to us. Course is well kept and challenging, rates have been very good and staff makes you feel welcome. We have already played this course twice this year with one coupon rate at $19 and the other just the other day at $25 from Great Green Fees. I would recommend this course to all.

New management has done much this year to welcome golfers. Course is difficult and challenging at all tees but enjoyable. Normally my friends and I have not gone to this course because of uppity atmosphere and price of fees. This year all has changed. We just played today, May 17th, and greatly enjoyed ourselves. We will indeed be back. Better players will be challenged by this course. Much danger and many carry shots adding intrigue into the round. We played in the morning with tee times at 9:30. As we left, the course around 2:00 was becoming packed. By the way, pro shop and new people running the course were friendly and acted like they wanted you to be on the course. I would highly recommend this course.

Maybe the best course in the area in the minds of our traveling group of 12-16 golfers who play almost 50 different courses each season every Wed. Lush and manicured with large undulating greens. Links style with many hills and elevation drops and rises. Many necessary carries required over danger on second shots. All of the greens are bunkered with danger. No rolling on any of the greens. Course plays very tough but we like it. All greens are elevated and much danger exists. Nicest course in the NW Indiana area along with Lost Marsh and Harbourside which prices prevent. We always go to this course since it less than 1/2 hour away and coupons are available for less than $30 rates. We had a great time today. Pro shop is a bit small but staff is outstanding. Improvement needed for eating and drinking afterwards. Drinks are a bit costly. We would recommend this course to all since name indicates a quality Irish course with quality and difficulty.
