Prairie View Golf Course first opened for play in 1990. The course was designed by J. D. Armstrong.

Prairie View Golf Course is a wide open course. Two ponds come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #9, requiring a tee shot between two ponds to a narrow landing area. There is an additional set of men's tee that can be used when double looping an eighteen hole round.

The back tees play to a par of 36 and a distance of 2,966 yards and the forward tees play to a par of 37 and a distance of 2,488 yards.

Prairie View Golf Course closed in 2005.
