Detailed description of Shadow Valley Golf Course
Shadow Valley Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Woodbine, Iowa.
Shadow Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 1998. Martin Johnson, Jr. was the course architect.
The course sits in a valley on hilly terrain. The south border is skirted by woods, homes line the north side. The greens are large and undulating. The fairways are open with very few trees. There are elevation changes on the fairways, and about half of the greens are elevated.
The signature hole is #7, a 150-yard, par 3, which has an elevated tee that plays to a green protected on the backside by a lake.
Blue tees: par-36, 3,081 yards
White tees: par-36, 2,856 yards
Red tees: par-36, 2,531 yards

Too bad this is only a nine hole course with two sets of tees for each level. The layout is great and having another nine holes with these conditions would be outstanding!
