Lakewood golf course opened in 1968. The course was designed by Charlie Loy.

The longest hole, also the signature hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 583 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 133 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 15, the 583 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. #15 requires a tee shot from off an elevated tee, and later an approach shot over water to the green. The easiest hole at Lakewood Country Club is # 1, a 368 yard par-4.
