Renditions first opened for play in 2002. The course salutes the great championships, champions and courses of golf's Grand Slam. Each of Renditions eighteen holes is a replica of a hole from a golf course that has hosted one or more of golf's four major championships: The Masters, The U.S. Open, The British Open and The PGA Championship, plus a hole from The Players Championship, golf's "fifth major." Courses with holes represented at Renditions include Inverness, Southern Hills, Carnoustie, TPC Sawgrass, and Augusta National's "Amen Corner" 11, 12 and 13. The entire eighteen hole course plays from 5,540 to 6,762-yards, and there are four sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.
Open to the public, Renditions is an award-winning development that offers a unique opportunity to "walk in the pro's shoes" for a day and play replicas of holes that are historically significant to golf.
Guests can shop and dine in their 1930's-era clubhouse that honors the achievements of Bobby Jones and the five career Grand Slam champions. This devotion to the complete facility and the entire experience sets Renditions apart from virtually any other golf course in the United States

As others have already commented, the replica championship course holes are unique and certainly add another enjoyable & challenging aspect to this course. Not overly difficult from the white tees, it is an excellent layout worth the $45 tee-time discount weekday rate. Staff and service are 1st rate and make this outing memorable.

You should play if you visit DC for vacation

It was enjoyable to play the grand slam holes. The layout is quite reminiscent of the holes it's patterned after. It's the kind of course one would want to play just to see and feel the grand slam experience since it would be difficult to visit and play the real grand slam courses. Without a coupon the course it way overpriced.

Used Tee Time Golf Pass and paid $39 tax incl. Good price for the course. I think if you are nearby, you should play this course for the uniqueness of it's layout, but beware the biting flies! They are the reason I won't return. I played with a member who said they are almost always there. If I had been prepared with bug spray, it may have been tolerable. And the course does not return to the clubhouse until after 18, so there went the hope of buying some in there.

My buddy got a tee time using the internet and we played this course the Thursday before Easter 2009. It was our first time out this season and we had a great time playing.
The holes (this is a replica course of many of the best golf holes in the world)) gave us a variety of views and opportunities that we might not have in our lifetime. Example, I do not think I will get a chance to play Augusta!
I would recommend this course. It was friendly and the staff during our visit were very helpful. There are currently some good buys in the pro shop too.
The greens were not up to summer play but then again, I will not complain, after all, it was early April.
The clubhouse bartender gave us our first drink based on our score. Nice idea for a promotion! The crab cakes were very good to my Minnesota palate. Good Bartender!

It's worth playing with a coupon. Generally not all members can use certificates, limited to 2 per foursome which is restrictive. Last visit I received an email with a promotional price which I used to bring out 3 buddies only to find it wasn't honored and my friends got aggravated. When I went back in the club house and addressed it with manager he honored it. It was December and hardly anyone was there and we were going out at a Twilight rate which had us finishing up at dusk. No reason to be treated like this initially.

Had a blast playing all the signature holes. Definitely must return to play again.

Tends toward wetness issues but a very fun play. Even if there were no replica holes it would be a terrific, multi-dimensional challenge.
