Detailed description of Cherry Hill Golf Course
Cherry Hill Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in North Amherst, Massachusetts.
Cherry Hill opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Dave Maxson.
Over the years numerous changes and improvements have been made to the course. These have included a new irrigation system, drainage system, a new clubhouse, changes to the course layout, and many other improvements to the course. This course features wide fairways, but the terrain is hilly, so expect many uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on two holes.
Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 2,620 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 2,323 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 516 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 139 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, the 516 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Cherry Hill is # 2, a 262 yard par-4.

I've played this 9 hole course for twenty years and it is never boring or repetitive. Though there is only one real par 4 (#5) at 400 yds. the shorter par 4s have small and difficult greens. The two par 5s: (#1 uphill and slight dogleg right,#7, downhill and dog leg left to landing area before pond to cross to severe downhill sloped green. The three par 3s can be a challenge to stay on the green if you hit it and the greens are subtly shaped.
